Shades of Blue

Goal

Our first project for the client was to redo a living room.  A few years later, we were invited back to renovate the remainder of the first floor. We renovated the laundry room, kitchen, powder and created an office by removing an unused dining room. The goal was to enhance functionality while maintaining the home’s classic charm.

Process

We transformed the home's layout to better suit this busy family by opening up walls and creating a more seamless flow throughout the space.Early in the project, we noticed the absence of a dedicated workspace. To address this, we reimagined part of the old dining room into a cozy office for two, perfect for both a home office and a homework haven for the kids. Additionally, we designed a charming bar and serving area to display china and crystal, providing a convenient serving spot adjacent to the dining table. As we worked through the project, we couldn't help but notice that shades of blue kept popping up. Eventually, we found a gorgeous warm blue tone that we used to bring a sense of warmth and a continuity throughout the home.
