Post and Beam
Goal
Inspired by their Vermont getaway, the clients aimed to bring the timeless charm of post-and-beam architecture to their permanent home in New Jersey. They envisioned an open-concept design that would not only accommodate visits from their children and growing families but also create a warm and inviting atmosphere for all.
Process
Wadsworth Design and Build expertly delivered and installed the post-and-beam structure, establishing the foundation for the home’s rustic elegance. Natural elements were highlighted throughout, with a raw-edge dining table serving as the centerpiece of the kitchen. The master suite, thoughtfully located on the first floor, offers both accessibility and a cozy sanctuary for when it’s just the two of them. Each guest room was designed to provide a private, retreat-inspired experience, ensuring visitors feel completely at ease. Every material was carefully selected to evoke the feeling of a serene mountain escape.
