Untitled 27

Mountain Contemporary

Goal

The builder brought me into the new build which took 18 months to create and fill this 16,000 square foot home. The client wanted it to have the feel of being out west - a place they loved to ski and vacation.

Process

We were given a large canvas of freedom with the key words of gathering, comfort and ease of living. The lighting had to be special to resonate with the large scale of the walls and high ceilings. We mixed traditional with contemporary pieces and used a lot of wallpaper. The stone was fitting to put in the main living room giving it a grande yet warm presence. It feels like a lodge. We had fun with the adjoining bar giving it a moody vibe.
