Blue House

Goal

Originally built in the 1800s, this home was divided into multiple small rooms, creating a cramped and disconnected feel. Our goal was to transform the kitchen, dining, and living areas—previously five separate rooms—into one open, inviting space while preserving the home’s historic charm and character.

Process

ACK Design collaborated closely with an architect to open up the walls while maintaining the home's structural integrity. The client had specific requests, including a wall of refrigerators and a dedicated baking area in the kitchen. Together, we reimagined the main floor, blending modern design with original details to create a stylish and functional living space—perfect for cooking, entertaining, and family gatherings.
